Love and Joy

Love and joy – comes at Christmas
Baby boy – call him Jesus
Can it be – he can make us
Free again – happy Christmas
Ox and sheep – gather round him
From the East – wise men found him
Love and joy – comes at Christmas
Little boy – call him Jesus.

Out in the fields on a cold December night
The angel appeared in a blaze of great light
The shepherds were afraid but the angel said
To you is born this day in a manger for his bed.

Wise men came, travellers from the east
Brought their gifts and knelt at his feet
Followed the star, to Bethlehem come
Worshipped the child, Mary’s first born son.

Two thousand years is such a long long time ago
But the story’s still the same and deep down we know
That like the stars in the sky and the waves upon the shore
Love doesn’t change – it holds the key to every door.
